Pick a Sunday

Every Sunday, we meet at our newly remodeled church auditorium for worship of our God and solid, Biblical preaching. You can join one of our many 9:30 am Sunday School classes – where we offer childrens, youth, and adult classes. Our 10:45 am service is for the whole family to worship together (we do offer nursery services for littles 3 and under).

Calvary is made up of a beautiful mix of “senior” saints, 20-somethings, young families, and empty-nesters, all coming together weekly for His Glory and Our Good.

Be Warmly Welcomed

Whether you come for Sunday School or Worship Service, you’ll be greeted at the door by friends who are truly glad to see you. You’ll be given a worship guide with the lyrics to that week’s songs, sermon notes, and announcements about the upcoming activities at Calvary.

Our welcome team can answer any questions you have, and give you directions all things Calvary-related. Feel free to stop in our lobby and get a cup of coffee. While there, we invite you to take a Welcome Bag that offers more helpful information about our church.

Worship With Us

Our auditorium is directly in front of you as you walk in our front doors. Our service is somewhat liturgical in nature, with some occasional congregational reading (which is all in your worship guide). You’ll be invited to participate in singing, congregational reading, and sometimes silent prayer, but you’ll never be put on the spot. While our service is designed to be Heaven-directed, it is also introspective and personal.

We share The Lord’s Supper each week at the end of our service. You do not need to be a member of our church to participate. We invite all who have accepted His perfect atoning gift on the cross as payment for our sins to join us in remembering His sacrifice.

Where is Calvary Baptist Lenexa located?

Calvary is located on Lackman Road, just north of 87th Street.
Our address is 8130 Lackman Road, and we are on the west side of the street. You can pull directly into our parking lot that faces our front doors.

What should I wear?

Calvary attendees run the gamut in what they wear – from casual to professional attire. You’ll be warmly welcomed, no matter what you are wearing.

Are Calvary's services online?

We typically post the preaching portion of our Sunday worship online, but that usually happens later in the week. We encourage you to join us in person as we worship together.

What can I expect during a service?

The beauty of Calvary is that we have a wonderful mix of “senior saints,” young families, 20-somethings, and everything in between – just as the body of Christ is made up!

Service typically lasts around 75 minutes, and during that time, we worship through music, Scripture reading, the preaching of God’s Word, and the Lord’s Supper.

We have nursery provided for the little ones (3 and under), while entire families are encouraged to worship together in our auditorium.
