WHAT WE BELIEVE

​

The Word of God 

The Bible is inerrant and infallible. It is central in our faith and practice as individuals and as a church, and it is sufficient for all circumstances of life. It is God's final and complete specific revelation. 

 

Man

Man is God’s special creation, made in His own image and for God's glory. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. Mankind lives in active rebellion against God as a result of original sin. Now, by nature and by choice, man seeks after his own glory rather than the glory of God. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God.

God

There is one and only one living God. God has eternally existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Father

God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history. He is Sovereign over all the universe. From every atom to every galaxy, all things are under His authority and perfect plan.

Son

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is 100% God and 100% man. He lived the perfect life and never sinned. He died on the cross satisfying God's wrath towards sin, which enables mankind, through Jesus, to enter into fellowship with God. After three days, Jesus resurrected from the dead, conquering death. Jesus currently reigns supreme over all the created order while sitting at God's right hand. He will return to earth and act as the final just judge of all the world.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination, He enables men to understand truth. He calls, regenerates, and saves all that the Father has elected unto salvation.

​

Salvation by Faith Alone

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense, salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
